ACTing Through Loss and Grief in Dementia is a six-week online course for carers who are navigating the ongoing losses and grief that dementia brings.
Grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the course provides evidence-based tools to help you make sense of grief, find space for your own wellbeing, and reconnect with what matters most. This is not about “fixing” grief but about learning how to live alongside it with compassion, dignity, and meaning.
The course is designed and delivered by Dr Sarah Straughan. Sarah is a UK HCPC registered Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years experience of working in mental health. She specialises in age-related mental health and dementia care.
